Many enemies won’t succumb to the run and gun mechanics that movie games traditionally have. Even more surprising – there are interchangeable genres of platforming and action. You’ll have to use your fly pal to navigate through obstacles and progress to the next area of the level. Not to mention the massively entertaining hamster ball vehicle – it’s serious business, but you can’t help laughing.
Perhaps what’s not so surprising is the game is very linear. You won’t see a change in environments, and eventually, the enemies become a bit samey. The difficulty is not too intense, either. That’s more or less to be expected from a movie game gear towards children, though. We can take solace in the fact that G Force’s positives outweigh the stereotypes of these types of offerings. Pretty intuitive UX, and the UI looks good. Not a RAM or battery hog for what it’s doing, and it’s thankfully a small app so I can still keep some mobile games too. Connectivity is rarely bad, usually only minor and still playable.
My only issue is not having easier access to the session timer, so I occasionally forget to pause and check it and end up getting booted.

It’s definitely safe to say that G Force will not be winning any game of the year awards.
