If you are saying that the entire taskbar is hidden, it should reappear if you rest the mouse pointer at the bottom of your screen. The Ribbon at the top that normally has labels Mailing, for example are gone.
You can hover the mouse and you can see where it was, but it is transparent and no label. The first time I tried to repair Office, it would not even start. When you clicked on it, it was not active.
The second time, the popup box asked if it was alright to make changes, but the section of the box where you click allow or ok, was blacked out. You could not even see it. The third time, it did the repair but there was no message about what was wrong. Since the update, the browsers don’t work right, either. There used to be an X on the top right to exit, it is gone, too.
