The game is damn near impossible to play on the keyboard. You cannot use your mouse. And it gives no instructions on what controllers would be compatible if any. I want to buy a controller and cannot find anywhere online which one I can use. And the mini pamphlet it comes with is useless. I see people online ALL saying they used a controller instead.
Well, which one? Please, to the seller, email me and let me know this answer. I want to be able to actually USE the game I purchased. This game is so much better on tablets. I found this game on my sons Amazon free time tablet and started playing it. He wasn’t about me taking over his tablet, so I bought the game. Now I can’t even play it. I received no product code with the game.
When you order the Lego Marvel Superheroes game, for instance, Steam pops up immediately and you can start the game through that by typing in the product code provided. This did no such thing, even though it was supposed to. Without the product code, I can’t even do it by myself either.
Unlike any of my other games, this game crashes quite frequently. Yet, the only way I was able to complete the game was using a beta video driver from nVidia and setting the resolution to the lowest setting x Tech support from WB Games was not very helpful provided the usual suggestions like disabling certain startups and reinstalling the game.
Having said that, I think the best part of this game is getting to use other DC super heroes. And with Superman, you get to fly around Gotham — while the John Williams Superman theme music plays. Maybe this will lead to a Justice League Lego game. One person found this helpful. I buy these games for my children, and they are fun but Traveller’s Tales needs to let us play them before releasing them because I find so many bugs, game freezes, spots where characters get stuck, things that won’t work under certain conditions, etc.
I believe this was the first game with the free play map. Marvel Superheroes was later, and it shows. It is so frustrating that while you are switching characters, the other player’s gameplay stops abruptly. Also, the flying controls are terrible.
These things were mostly fixed in the Marvel game. It’s a fun game to play with your kids, or by yourself, but some aspects like I mentioned above are just maddeningly frustrating. Verified Purchase. The game itself is very fun and the story line is entertaining.
The in mission controls are great, no issues there. However, for some reason the makers of the game decided to change the controls when outside of the mission and in the hub. Specifically how flying characters are controlled. Too bad really, because it was fun, the missions anyway. The only reason I didn’t give this five stars is that the game randomly freezes.
Very frustrating. We have the right OS and hardware Annoying but does not happen frequently. Just enough to upset a kid deep into the game. Wonderful graphics. Love this game. Have received 2 disk now and will not install without an error. Tried on 4 machines with xp and 7 and get the same error Something about permissions and cannot find the game file.
I finally got it to work by disabling AVG. The new AVG will disable till restart. I took it off mine completely as it will not run or install with it on. After this it is a great game and I love the talking legos. Amazons return policy is great and super fast shipping on the second disk.
